Interpreter Services Notes
- Standard Hours: Services from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, at standard rates.
- Evening Surcharge: Services from 5 pm to 10 pm incur a 50% surcharge.
- Night Surcharge: Services from 10 pm to 5 am incur a 90% surcharge.
- Travel Inclusion: Travel within Tokyo’s 23 wards is included in the standard fee.
- Travel Costs: For travel outside the 23 wards or between airports, hotels, and venues, actual transport costs apply.
- Round-Trip Fares: Actual costs for round-trip air or rail fare to the venue are billed.
Additional Fees:
- Excess Charge: A 25% premium rate for work beyond 8 hours per day.
- Management Fee: A 10% fee on estimated costs, excluding accommodation, travel, and allowances.
- Holiday Premiums: Additional charges for national holiday services.
- Technical Surcharge: Fees for sessions requiring specialized knowledge.
- Translation Fees: Document translation services are charged separately.
Financial Terms
Advance Payment:
- Advance Payment: 50% required upfront, with the remainder due 5 business days before the event.
- Full Payment: Necessary for bookings made within 5 days of the event.
Accepted Payment Methods:
- Bank transfer, JCB, VISA, American Express, and MasterCard.
- Any additional fees, such as wire transfer fees or credit card surcharges, are the responsibility of the client.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel our services, customers must notify our company via email or fax. Please note that notifications should be sent between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Japan time. Any notifications received after 5:00 p.m. will be considered as received on the following business day.
- 7 to 14 business days notice: 20% of the quoted amount.
- 6 to 3 business days notice: 50% of the quoted amount.
- 2 day’s notice to same-day notice: 100% of the quoted amount.
